“I have been seeing Heather for a while now and have witnessed so much transformation, especially regarding my mental health and overall well-being. Heather has such a beautiful and creative way of making you feel truly seen and heard, and I love the somatic practices she integrates. It's truly unlike any experience I have had.” - Designer 27

I was inspired to study and practice psychotherapy in response to how our current culture relates to mental health and healing. I am dedicated to creating change in this field by bridging the gaps between our current model and finding what fundamentally moves us deeper level, for lasting shifts and changes.I consistently work to expand and grow as a practitioner through formal education and participation in a range of practices that support my ongoing personal and professional development.

My experience and offerings are diverse. In addition to my therapeutic work with individuals, I have collaborated with many organisations and community groups. I have worked at Guthrie House as the resident Art Therapist since 2018. I have developed and facilitated therapeutic groups for the  Indigo project Catholic Care, Ability Links, Newtown Neighbourhood Centre, The Illawarra Women’s Health Centre, Anglicare, Links to Learning, Red Tent, Bupa Aged Care (Dance Therapy), Opengate Institute, and Dance for Parkinson’s Australia

My practice also extends to professional development programs for therapists looking to expand or integrate new relational or experiential methods into their practice, including Gestalt group work, experimentation, art therapy, meditation, psychodrama, dreamwork, movement, and focusing (a somatic method of bodywork).

My focused client work is towards life transitions,

Qualifications:

Masters Of Gestalt Psychotherapy
Diploma of Transpersonal Art Therapy and Counselling
Mindfulness - Integrated CBT

I practice relational and experiential therapy in Sydney, at the Orchard St. Clinic in Bondi Beach, and online. This unique practice has been developed through more than ten years of training and experience in the field, as well as a personal connection to this speciality. My work is clinically recognised but devised for the soul.

I integrate complementary methods of Gestalt Psychotherapy, Transpersonal Art Therapy, Counselling, and Meditation. My goal is to empower individuals with tools for ongoing self-support. I offer a less traditional path towards understanding, expression, awareness, and wholeness while still incorporating aspects of mainstream psychology.

My offerings are devised to work and evolve with the ever-expanding and changing needs of individuals and communities alike. Some of my methods include relational techniques, artwork, guided meditation, clay, collage, painting, movement, journalling, dream discussion and more traditional psychotherapy methods.
